Just say what you mean, and realize that you can cause damage if you are not careful with what you say. Be immaculate with my own words, don`t take things personally, don`t speculate and always do my best, these four promises are hard to keep, but once I became aware of these four promises, things started to move in a positive direction. If the agreements are sometimes too simplified, it is still a small book with some heavy ideas.  Some agreements that create individuals may not cause problems, but there are certain arrangements that come from a place of fear and have the power to deplete emotional energy and reduce a person`s self-esteem.  The book states that these self-limiting agreements cause unnecessary suffering.
